Content Strategist

For over a decade now, I’ve provided content analysis, content strategy and copywriting to various projects with C&G Partners, including: Carnegie Scholars and the award-winning redesign of Portico.org, a site dedicated to preserving today's digital academic journals for future scholars.

Working with many of the same team members, I provided content strategy and social media strategy to Macaulay Honors College (CUNY).  Ive also worked on membership materials for The Optical Society (OSA), an esteemed professional association of scientists, academics and business people all focused on the science and industry of light-related technologies.

An epic content strategy project, Portico is among the largest community-supported digital archives in the world. Working with libraries, publishers, and funders, they preserve e-journals, e-books, and other electronic scholarly content to ensure researchers and students will have access to it in the future.

I had to rapidly understand the various challenges of future-proofing these texts, harness data and formatting disparities, create streamlined information organization approaches, and write content that translated complex concepts into easily understood text.

In addition to this, writing promotional copy for potential patrons and academic decision makers was required.

We worked hard, learned a lot, and won the Web Marketing Association's 2010 WebAward for Non-Profit Standard of Excellence.

Founded in 1916, The Optical Society (OSA) is the leading professional association in optics and photonics. Through world-renowned publications, meetings, and membership programs, OSA provides quality information and inspiring interactions that power achievements in the science of light.

To commemorate the organization’s 100th year, C&G Partners was tasked with developing print materials to be paired with centennial traveling exhibit and microsite.

I wrote content, collaborated on creative concepts and thoroughly enjoyed a brief but comprehensive glimpse at this fascinating community of scientists and the impact their work continues to have on the lives of billions of people.

C&G Partners collaborated with PharMEDium AmericourceBergen, the leading provider of ready-to-use Compounded Sterile Preparations (CSPs), to transform their facility tour into a standout customer experience journey.

From concept to completion I provided content creation, strategy, and editing. Doing this required a strong understanding of scientific principles and terminology and the ability to translate complex content into limited space/signage. It also put my “journey making” skills (which had been further refined by my experience designing travel in India) into a physical space once more.
